ATAC-Seq is based on transposase-mediated insertion of sequencing primers into open chromatin regions. This assay provides genome-wide profiles of open and accessible regions of chromatin that are indicative of active regulatory regions.
AbFlex® antibodies are recombinant antibodies (rAbs) that have been generated using defined DNA sequences to produce highly specific, reproducible antibodies. Each AbFlex® antibody contains a Sortase recognition motif (LPXTG) to covalently add fluorophores, enzymatic substrates (HRP, AP…etc), peptides, DNA, drugs or other labels to the antibody in a directed and reproducible manner using Active Motif’s Sortag-IT Labeling Kits. Every antibody also contains a 6xHis tag, which can be used with nickel-based purification systems, and an avidin tag sequence for enzymatic biotin conjugation using the biotin ligase, BirA.
Histone H3.1, or the canonical form of Histone H3, is deposited during DNA replication and possibly also during repair. Study of H3.1 has identified cancer-associated mutations and differing affinities for the histone acetyltransferase HAT1. Active Motif’s Nu.Q™ H3.1 Assay Kit is designed for the detection of levels of Histone H3.1-containing, circulating cell-free nucleosomes (cf-nucleosomes) in human serum in a high-throughput format.

Custom chromatin and DNA methylation services. Genome-wide analysis using Next-Gen sequencing has significantly broadened the ability of scientists to understand epigenetic events. However, reproducibly generating high-quality, interpretable data from chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP) experiments can be challenging as it requires prior knowledge of working antibodies, optimized protocols for various cell types and knowledge of cell type-specific binding sites. Add in the technical and bioinformatics challenges associated with generating whole-genome data sets, and ChIP-Seq may literally be beyond your reach. Active Motif provides a wide variety of ChIP services. This makes it possible for you to utilize their research tools without having to be an expert in the techniques yourself.
