U-CyTech biosciences is a biotech company founded in 1999 in cooperation with Utrecht University and is located in Utrecht, The Netherlands. The company offers ELISA, ELISPOT and FluoroSpot systems in different formats. In addition, they develop ‘in house’ a wide range of highly specific monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies directed to a wide range of proteins from different species.
U-CyTech offers a wide range of ELISA tests for the detection of human, monkey, mouse and rat cytokines, chemokines or granzymes. The ELISA tests are widely applied in different research fields, including cancer research, vaccine development, infectious diseases, autoimmune diseases, organ transplantation, and parasitology.
The cytokine ELISPOT assay is designed to enumerate cytokine secreting cells in single cell suspensions of lymphoid tissue, CNS tissue, bone marrow or preparations of peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC). The assay has the advantage of detecting only activated/memory T cells and the cytokine release can be detected at the single cell level, allowing direct determination of T cell frequencies.
U-CyTech offers B cell ELISPOT kits for detection of human, monkey and mouse antibody secreting cells (ASCs). The B cell ELISPOT assay has been developed to enumerate ex vivo antigen-specific B cells on the basis of antibody production at the single cell level. The assay is useful in different fields of biomedical research including vaccine development, infection, drug treatment and autoimmune diseases.
The dual-color FluoroSpot assay is a modification of the ELISPOT assay and developed for the simultaneous detection of two cytokines released by a single T cell. The assay is based on the use of antibodies labeled with different fluorophores enabling the detection of T cells producing two pre-selected cytokines. U-CyTech biosciences offers a wide range of human and monkey cytokine FluoroSpot kits.
U-CyTech’s cytokine immunoassays, e.g. human IFN-γ ELISA and human IFN-γ ELISPOT, are extensively used in different areas of research. Currently, they have developed a nove,l highly sensitive immunoassay to measure autoantibodies to human IFN-γ (IFAAs) in serum or plasma.
U-CyTech offers mono- and polyclonal antibodies for human, old world monkey, mouse, and rat applications. The antibodies are also available in bulk.
Recombinant cytokines are available from U-CyTech from different species – human, mouse, and rat.
